Soldier’s Journals Coming In Hot!
about 4 years ago – Thu, Apr 09, 2020 at 08:52:29 AM

Hey backers! I know many some of you have been waiting a long time for your special Soldier’s Journal Edition of Never Going Home, and we’re happy to say that these have started coming in. We’ll be packing up the ones we received today, and will get the others as soon as their delivered from the artisan.

There were a few hiccups along the way:

  • There was an issue with the sourcing of the leather which lead to a delay. We’ve spoken about this before, but that has been completely resolved.
  • The artisan moved and was forced to deconstruct his shop and all in progress projects during the relocation. This was unforeseen but also has been fully resolved.
  • Have you all heard of this Covid-19 thing? It’s really put a damper on things. (Not to make light of this. Seriously, be safe. Wash your hands.)

All that said, for future projects, these books will be very offered sparingly, if at all. We will probably use alternate methods for special edition books and work with our artisan friend for truly premium special offerings. It is always our intent to make sure that for any future projects, there is little to no delay in getting you the products you backed. We truly value your support and want to again extend our thanks.

Compiling Errata for Second Printing
about 4 years ago – Mon, Mar 02, 2020 at 05:28:13 PM

You all have been such an awesome community of fans and players. A number of you have reached out to us and asked questions or provided feedback, and a lot of these have been brought into an FAQ document we're putting together. As we are preparing for the reprint of Never Going Home, we are collecting this errata to update the text in the core book. If you have spotted something you have a question about, send it to [email protected] with the subject line: NGH Errata. We'll be compiling the list for a full FAQ and an update to the PDF on DriveThruRPG.

Thanks again! You all are amazing.

So What's Next?
about 4 years ago – Mon, Feb 10, 2020 at 09:46:38 PM

We just wrapped up the campaign for the Never Going Home Campaign Dossiers. many of you backed and we are grateful for your support. If you missed out and would still like to get in on the first wave of shipments, we'll be certain to let you know when the preorder store opens. We also have received a bunch of questions about what's coming in 2020 and beyond, so we wanted to give you all a peek.

Upcoming Projects

The wheels here at Wet Ink Games never stop turning. We have a laundry list of games in development right now, so the rest of 2020 and 2021 are going to be FULL of great releases from us. The ones that you'll probably hear us talking about the most over the next few months are listed below, but we have a number that are already in the works so you'll see them pop up later.

Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall

One of the most exciting projects to come out of our meetings at GenCon was this game. Created by Banana Chan and Sen-Foong Lim, Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall is collaborative storytelling game where players dive into the roles of members of an immigrant family in 1920s San Francisco who are experiencing a haunting, but not everyone believes the stories of ghosts and spirits from the old country. This game will be a collaboration between Wet Ink Games and Game and a Curry, and will be hitting Kickstarter late Q2 or early Q3 of this year.

Dark Places and Demogorgons 5e

We've talked about this before a little bit in some of our interviews and conversations, but unless you've been paying really close attention, you may have missed it. We've partnered with Eric Bloat and Bloat Games to bring their popular Dark Places and Demogorgons OSR game to the 5e community. The game is a whole lot of fun now, and we're going to take the theme of the game and turn it up to eleven. You'll play middle and high school kids living your lives in Anytown, USA trying to keep up your grades, participate in extracurriculars, while trying to solve mysteries and not get killed by they local cryptids. We absolutely can not wait to bring you this game In September of this year.

Heckin' Good Doggos

This game was announced at GenCon last year, and is shaping up to be something really special. Heckin’ Good Doggos: Dogs Doin’ Dog Stuff is a new tabletop role-playing game which brings players into the world as pets who are responsible for the happiness and well-being of your best friends: your people! Written by industry veteran John Kennedy and newcomer Justin Giza, and with art by Mike Mumah, this family-friendly RPG will use Wet Ink Games’ +One system to make the game accessible to all pet lovers. There are a bunch of alternate settings too, which we can't wait to show you.

They Cried Monster

If you think we're busy, artist Charles Ferguson-Avery and his crew are just as busy, if not more so. In addition to his work on the Never Going Home Campaign Dossiers, Charles and his team at Feral Indie Studio launched an entry in Zine Quest 2 here on Kickstarter. THEY CRIED MONSTER (LINK) is an homage to stories like The Witcher and looks to be an awesome product. We supported it, and if you like his stuff, you might want to consider tossing a coin to your artist.
